The Voice WP Connector is a free WordPress plugin. It gives Voice WP a private, protected way to build and edit your site on your instructions. You install it, approve the connection, and can remove it whenever you like.

Install the plugin
In your WordPress admin go to Plugins, Add New, Upload Plugin, choose the file you downloaded, then Install and Activate.
Press Connect
In your Voice WP dashboard, enter your site address and press Connect. You are taken to your WordPress admin to approve.
Start talking
You are brought straight back and can open the voice builder for your site.
What it can do
Everything needed to build and edit, nothing more.
Pages and posts
Create, edit, patch and delete pages and posts, with drafts, private previews and undo.
Media, menus and settings
Upload images from a link, manage navigation menus and update a short list of safe site settings.
Styles and small scripts
Save custom CSS and small page scripts with your site, kept separate from your theme and checked before saving.
Plugins and themes
List, install, activate, deactivate and delete plugins and themes, always with your yes first.
Contact forms and email tests
Create contact forms that send to you, and test that your site's email really arrives.
Results counting
If you turn it on, count page views and actions such as calls, emails, enquiries and bookings, with no cookies and no personal data.
How it stays safe
You stay in control of the connection.
Protected by a key
Nothing can reach your site without the connection key. Only a fingerprint of it is stored on your site, and failed attempts are rate limited.
Your permissions apply
It acts as the administrator who approved it, and WordPress permission checks still apply to every action.
A visible record
Recent actions are listed on the Voice WP settings screen in your admin, with the tool name and the time.
Signed updates
The plugin checks for updates at most every 12 hours and installs one only if its checksum and digital signature verify.
Disconnect any time from Settings, Voice WP in your admin, or just deactivate and delete the plugin. Everything already built stays on your site.

Compatibility and questions.
Which WordPress and PHP versions does it need?
WordPress 6.0 or newer and PHP 7.4 or newer, and it has been tested with WordPress 6.9. Contact forms need WordPress 6.9 or newer.
Is the plugin free?
Yes. The plugin is free. It works with the Voice WP service, which is a paid subscription.
Does it send anything to anyone?
Only to Voice WP, when you use the builder. It also checks our update server for new versions. It does not track your visitors.
My host blocks the connection. What can I do?
Some hosts block the Authorization header. The plugin also accepts the key in an X-VoiceWP-Key header, and the Voice WP team can help if your host needs a setting changed.
What happens if I delete the plugin?
Voice WP can no longer reach your site. Pages and content already built stay. The plugin removes its own saved data, such as saved site code, when it is deleted.
