The first screen, in order
- A headline that says what you do, for whom, and where (or what outcome you give).
- One sentence that adds the most important detail, such as "same-day call-outs" or "gluten-free options daily".
- Your main button: call, book, get a quote or buy.
- A line of proof: a rating, a number of years, a well-known customer or a real photo.
What can wait until further down
Your full story, every service, team photos, long testimonials and your blog all matter, but not in the first screen. Give each a short section below, in the order a curious customer would ask: what exactly do you offer, can I trust you, what does it cost, how do I start.
Things that quietly cost you customers
- A rotating slideshow where the first slide says nothing useful.
- A long welcome message before any information.
- A menu with too many choices.
- A phone number that is not tappable on a phone.
- Stock photos that could belong to any business.
